Fishin' Season

Em, Stef, Mom, and I recently fished the annual WAM tourney - this year held in Paynesville, MN on Lake Koronis. Mom did a seminar on Northern de-boning which was a big hit with the ladies. The tourney itself went ok - we avoided rain, and caught a few fish, too :) Stef ended up winning 3rd place rock bass as you can see in the pics. Only issues we had were with the resort and cabin we stayed in - BugBee Hive Resort. Enjoy the pics!

Crafty Me

I have been deep into crafts lately - hence the lack of internet time posting here :)
I have mainly been making quilts but I will probably start making drapes, headbands, totes, you name it (thanks to my awesome aunts - Barb and Colleen).
These are a few of the projects I am working on, except for one that a certain someone cannot see for a few months ;)
Above are the quilts I have been working on for our guest bedroom which has 2 twin beds in it (on the left - learned the paper piecing technique from a coworker, Sharon; on the right - Grandma Walsh quilted the blocks and I put them together with the border)

As you can see, my workspace went from sprawled all over the dining room table (see pic at left) to all nice and neat because of the wonderful birthday present from my awesome husband (see pic at right).
