Another Good One

This one is good, too, worth the read, although a bit dramatic :)

Ha ha! The bill...definitely the scariest one!
Oh and about episiotomies - you know, it's better to tear than to be cut, you'll heal faster and better.

I keep hearing conflicting answers on the episiotomy question. Maybe because they say if you tear you can tear further and get infected? And with an episiotomy they can do the crooked cut (can't remember the name of it - maybe transversal?) so you don't tear straight to your bum-hole? Sorry TMI!

I suppose. I didn't think of the crooked cut they can do. I think the doctor can usually be a pretty good judge of how bad/far you may tear and do what they think is best. Although, if you don't want to be cut (unless necessary) make sure to put it into your birth plan - so many drs are just quick to cut because it's easier. My dr w/ Graycen was going to cut but the nurse said, "do you need to cut? she doesn't want to be cut." he said "oh, ok. she'll just tear a little" so why even bother?!
