Morning Sickness

has officially decided to kick my a$$. I have had bits of it in the mornings mainly where I puke a bit after brushing my teeth. Today was different - I am now up to 5 times the puking - not fun. I tried to make myself feel better by eating lunch at work (after already being to the bathroom 4 times). That didn't exactly work - I ended up going home, puking up what I ate and then crashing for 3 hours. Now I am cooking dinner and it smells HORRIBLE! All I have been able to keep down is some lemon pudding.
Don't get me wrong, I am so happy to be pregnant and hate to complain, but I am miserable. I have heard about unisom & B6 helping m/s but I hate taking pills. I have tried Jolly Ranchers also, because someone told me that sour candies helped them, apparently not me. And of course, ginger ale and saltines I have tried as well.
Oh well, I hope everyone else is doing well!

LEMON! I told you! :) I seem to think it worked better for me after I had puked for a few weeks though. Another thing that I had to have in this stage was Fruity Pebbles, I have a funny story to tell you about that at work some time...

we drove by your house the other day and I told the kids that you guys were going to have a baby, they asked "when" of course and when I said not until spring, they thought that was too long to wait! :)

Apple juice, fruit, toast, crackers helped me. I know how horrible it is and the mixed feelings. I loved being pg, but there were mornings I was sprawled on the kitchen floor puking in the garbage thinking, how do people who have m/s ever have more kids. Well it doesn't last forever. I didn't take any meds. I heard that B6 can cause neurological problems in the baby. Have you tried switching to a different prenatal vitamin? Flinestones plus an extra folic pill helped. I felt better taking the normal prenatal every other day. Ask your Dr., mine was fine with that. Ok I rambled. Hope you feel better!

Well........ all I have to say.. because I have been through 4 PG's and never experienced MS.. sorry.. but the first thing that I would do is to contact your doctor.. they know what is safe to do or take... I do know that some people took the prenatal in the evening just before bed which helped.. also .. crackers at the bedside to eat one or two before even getting out of bed also helped them.. but that is all I know......... hang in there... it will only get better... but you really need to talk to your doc so you don't hurt yourself or baby .. with not enough foods in your system.... as I am thinking that lemon pudding doesn't hold a whole lot of nutrition... love you

Sorry your having such bad morning sickness..that's a bummer. I had it bad with Brecken. I wish I could give you some pointers but honestly I can't even remember what I did about it...probably just stuck it out :) and as we all know its totally worth it in the end.

I have been taking my prenatal at night, and I did manage to eat more than just the pudding after that thank goodness. I eat oyster crackers right away in the morning. One day it works, next it doesn't - go figure. I feel good today - which actually does make me kinda forget about it if that makes sense. I just needed to vent yesterday because it sucked :) Thanks for the tips!

I heard the same thing about the B6 so I didn't do it. I did take a Unisom and also a 1000mcg pill of folic acid (since my prenatal vitamin was making me sick) Something that did help me were lemonade (it was a lifesaver) applesauce, popsicles and sour patch kids. what a diet, right? good luck. it does suck but it is totally worth it!

I never had M/S with any of you or your sibs so can't help you here...but...Fruity Pebbles? It used to be ice cream and pickles. I think I'm going to be M/S now!
