EEEEEEKKK! I think I am in need of a paper bag :)
Words cannot describe how thankful I am to have such thoughtful, giving family and friends in my life. A special thank you to my sisters for hosting the baby shower - the food was great and I have fun anytime I am with you. You all are the best! To those who could not make it, we love you and miss you!

I hope everyone is having a great Valentine's Day! Josh was a sweetheart and got me a beautiful mom/baby necklace :)
We woke up fairly early, I made breakfast and got ready for the day then we hung out in town, hitting up the mall (lots of sales going on!), Chocolates Plus (where we didn't even buy any chocolate :P), Book World, and then the Cabin coffee shop for a bite to eat. We had thought about going to a matinee but our theater smells something horrid every time we go, so we decided to come home and relax instead. Josh also made reservations at one of the newest restaurants in town, Sparkling Waters, for dinner. So my plan is to nap/sew while he reads and plays with Boscoe, then off for what should be a good dinner. I love days/weekends like this! Even the sun is shining :)

Josh and I went to Fargo yesterday, and thanks to Heather and her coupons, I was able to find just what I needed to make this:
Of course, as soon as I got home I had to start the project. Once I have something in my head I don't let it go until it is finished (well, unless it turns out horrible and I give up!). Here is my version front & back, then folded.
One side is decorative cotton fabric, then the other side is a type of vinyl that can be easily cleaned, then batting for comfort, and a pocket to hold wipes/diapers.
For the most part it turned out great! The only problems I ran into were that it bunched up a bit on one side and my sewing machine kept skipping stitches and the tension was not working right no matter how I adjusted it - grrr!
I bought a clip to add somehow (like the pic I was going for) but I am not sure if I am going to add it or not. I also have enough vinyl (I had gotten a remnant that was approximately 1 yd) to make 2 more if I muster up enough ambition :)

I was getting ready yesterday morning and was watching my belly in the mirror, sure enough - I started seeing little lumps where Keira was moving! I have been able to see my belly move around like a bowl of jello for awhile now just looking down, but seeing it in the mirror was insane - you could tell it had to be a little foot or hand. Of course, it wasn't like the picture where you could actually see toes and everything (not sure if that pic is a fake but I still love it :) I really should have tried looking earlier! Although now it is going to take me twice the amount of time to get ready in the morning because I will spend most of my time staring at my belly. Funny thing is, I was about to leave for work and went to brush my teeth, only to look in the mirror at my FACE instead, and realized I completely forgot to do my makeup :)

This pic was taken in Arizona in 06' at the old folks' villa - Barb and I were sitting at the pool and I had to take this guy's picture. I emailed it home to a friend and titled it "Old Balls" - showing her what the view at the pool was like :)

Just got home from a great weekend up north. Friday was spent with the fam hanging out. Em also took some maternity photos for me - they turned out great - she has a way with a camera for sure :) We got a few other ideas for more to take at Stef's house later in the month, too. Here's a sample, click the link for more!
Saturday I watched little Anna while everyone fished the annual bar tournament on Blue Lake. Anna was a doll - no problem at all :) She really likes to dance and compare bellies :P The fisher-people had nice warm weather, and caught some fish, just not any placers. The wind picked up throughout the day and by 8PM we had no electricity at the house from downed trees. Good time to hit the hay early after being outside all day. Sunday Mom & Mike made breakfast and I headed to town to hang out with Sarah. She made us lunch, we chatted, and she got Keira some awesome gifts. It was so nice to catch up!
I hope everyone else had as good a weekend as I did :)
