We went to Gram's for lunch and relaxing, then back home because we both work tomorrow. The food and conversation was great, thanks Gram!

I hope this is big enough to see - it is also a bit long. Not really any sound to it so don't worry if you don't hear anything :) Oh and the biggest kick is near the middle (like 45 seconds in) on the right side of my belly...
** disregard the hairy belly - just another great pg attribute :)

Happy to say that despite the snowy weather, all but one of our guests made it! (We missed you Val!)
Dinner menu - marinated steak, chicken & shrimp kabobs with red, yellow and green peppers; calico beans; mashed garlic red-skinned potatoes; dinner rolls (same kind Gram makes); veggie tray with dill dip; & a meat & cheese tray.
Guests - Andrew, John & Chad, Josh M., Heather, Bishop, Lisa, Kayla, Lisa, Osi, Megan & Mike
Josh and I each bought a gift for Baby P. for the other to open - Josh got her the Michael Jordan onesie set and I got her the play gym - it was cute to see what Josh would think of, can't really say I am surprised :)
Festivities included a Wii Bowling tournament - winner (John with 200 pts) received a Big Lebowski bowling ball DVD set, last place (Osi with 106 pts) received a box of chocolate truffles we called the boobie prize :)
Of course, Guitar Hero was also played... I am not a huge fan of this game :P
Heather made the awesome dessert - mini cupcakes on a stick!
It was so nice to see everyone - we already can't wait for next year!

Andy was playing with my new camera and figured out how to do this wide angle shot - maybe 180 degrees/panoramic? I'm not sure - I still don't know how to do it myself :P

Just a quick note to myself really so I don't forget -
Josh felt the baby kick last night!!! We were cuddling on the couch watching Ron Burgundy, with my head on his shoulder, my belly touching his side where she decided to kick him pretty good :) It was great!

For Christmas Josh got me a nice Kodak camera (he got a netbook computer) - so today I have been playing around with the camera, trying to learn the new features :) The pics taken so far are just using their auto-setting, I need to read a bit yet to use the advanced features. Here are a few pics and a very shakey video of Boscoe doing figure eights around the trees in the backyard... Disclaimer - I hate my voice so you may want to hit mute before you hit play ;)
** Also, this is my 100th post on this blog - WOOT!**

Found out today someone in Delaware somehow made a fake debit card with our numbers... Fun times and over $1000 later... Our cards are cut and canceled and we now wait on a credit for that amount (bank said up to 5 days from the posting date) and new cards (7-10 days). Then the investigation takes up to 90 days. Irritating.
Happy effing Holidays to you, too, whoever you are!
** UPDATE - Other people at our bank also got hit so it is most likely an issue with their security or more likely, the VISA company that our bank does their debit cards through is actually located in Delaware (lots of them are apparently because it is tax-free there) and maybe an employee stole the accounts. AAAANNNDDD - they have already credited our acct so our balance is back to where it should be! All we have to do now is wait for the new cards. Big weight lifted! ***

GIRL!!!
Unfortunately the u/s was not in 3D - the appointment was at 1:45, they did not call us in until 2:20 and by that time the 3D/4D machine was in use... But we got some good pics and 2 short videos so I am very happy for that. And of course OVER THE MOON about having a beautiful baby girl. She is measuring a tad small the doc said - about 1lb 6oz according to the tech, but the doc said he was not concerned. Her HB was 150 (she was moving sooo much it was hard to get a reading), 4 chambers in her heart, 10 fingers, 10 toes, all that good stuff :) I think she looks like a little thinker in her profile pic with her little hand up by her face - runs in the family :)

Our tree is up! The booger had a section of lights that were out - so I had to look closely at each one to see if it was burned out - found three and replaced them and voila - all lit up! Now all it needs is ornaments and presents underneath :) We made a stop at Walmart and picked up stockings to hang off the "faux"place. I debated getting Baby P a stocking, but decided that next year will be his/her first Christmas as an outside baby and then s/he will be able to see it and enjoy it :)
Just to add to the Christmas spirit, we are off to the PB Christmas party in about an hour, where we will enjoy prime rib, drinks (virgin daquiris for me, please!), dancing (yeah right), and good company. Oh, and the best part - bonuses! I can't believe I have been working there for 4.5 years now!

23 weeks and 2 days to be exact :)
I pretty much look and feel like crap this week (darned cold), but the belly is looking cute! Baby is kicking like crazy, but everytime I grab Josh so he can feel it, the baby stops - GRRR... Oh well - soon.
Only a few more days until we find out if this precious baby is a boy or girl! Yay!
* Sorry for the dirty bathroom - I am also lazy in my ailing state *

First off, a mosaic Christmas table runner. First pic shows it all laid out before sewing.
Unfortunately, it ended up a bit difficult to tell what the image is supposed to be :( Josh thought it was a butterfly. I thought maybe the colors would give it away?
This pic looks way too bright - the colors on the back are actually pretty deep - my camera flash distorts a bit I think.
Second project is a simple flannel baby quilt/blanket. I found the cute monkey fabric in a bin at JoAnn's this weekend and had to do something with it. All that is left is to hand-stitch the binding (made of a silky brown fabric). I may add an initial (applique? I suppose you would call it) to the back if we end up having a boy - otherwise I know of a few girls having boys so I will customize for them.
Not a bad weekend - sew, nap, eat and repeat :)

All I can say is - YUM! Not too hard to make either :)
Got the recipe from the Pampered Chef and decided to try it out on a lazy Saturday like today...

Our ultrasound will be in 3D!!! I knew there had to be a good reason for them to be switching out their equipment when I thought they took very clear pics before. Definitely worth the wait :)
Also - half-way done today - yay for 20 weeks!

Got this pic in an email update from babycenter.com - is it me or does that baby look terribly uncomfortable?!
P.S. Sorry for the anatomy lesson attached :)

Had my 19 week appointment today. Waited an hour and a half to see the doc as he was doing a delivery. Most of his other patients left, but his nurse said he would only be a few minutes more (a couple of times) and so I waited. I was so excited to be able to schedule my big ultrasound I really didn't want to leave without that date. The appointment went good, BP is better, HB was there, no protein or whatnot in my urine, and I was weighed (no gain there - exactly the same as a month ago but ok according to doc). Probably took all of 5 min total. He was in a rush to get to a c-section, also, such a busy guy!
Anyway - so he gives me a sheet to give to the receptionist and wants me to come back in 4 weeks for my next appt and wanted them to schedule the ultrasound for the same day. I get to the receptionist and am told to sit and wait again. Then they called me up and said they are replacing the ultrasound equipment around the time the doc wanted it scheduled so they scheduled me for 5 weeks out. I will be just about 24 weeks then. I know it is only a week later (although I was also hoping he would tell me 3 weeks instead of 4) but still I am a bit sad - not only did I wait forever today, but I was hoping to see the baby sooner. I also was hoping to be able to tell everyone at Thanksgiving. I know that the pluses of waiting far outweigh my need to know if our baby is a boy or a girl. We will be able to see the organs better, the equipment will be new and hopefully better, etc. But it is hard not to feel down a bit. I suppose I could call and see if I could get in before they switch out the equipment, but I know I will feel selfish for doing it when really all that matters is that the baby is healthy.
On the plus side - I voted today :) I feel good about that at least!

Ticker above moved over to the middle baby today - not sure why it does it at 17w6d instead of 18w even like it has done in the past. I could have missed it though, I haven't really paid a whole lot of attention. Either way - scary to think we are close to the half-way point!
From thebump.com:
"Your fetus has become amazingly mobile (at least compared to you), passing the hours yawning, hiccuping, rolling, twisting, kicking, punching, sucking and swallowing. And, baby's finally big enough that you'll be able to feel those movements soon."
***EDIT*** Just in case you can't tell (AHEM - Stacy :))- the tuber above is a sweet potato :P

Found a free trial of a program online and made these - I was hoping for a Fall template for a background but searched and searched and could not find one I liked!

Had a crappy night/morning and just have to vent about it... Things WERE going great: Andy was super sweet and made Josh and I dinner, then I was able to watch some of my Thurs night shows, then I hopped in the shower so I would have extra time in the morning to pack to go to Mom & Dad's place. Great, no problems there, I even shaved for the first time in a long time :)
Of course then I wake up at 2AM and have a bout with restless legs, which has been happening off and on the past few weeks. No big deal - I go and sleep propped up on the couch and no more problems.
Then the ugghh happens - I wake up a bit late because I don't have my alarm clock in the living room, start to get ready, and get the worst nosebleed ever. And I haven't gotten one in years! Turns out it is near impossible to get ready and pinch your nose, etc at the same time. This goes on for 20 min straight - making me even more late. And of course, I swallow a bit of blood and start puking, yay.
Then, my laundry I was going to pack this morning is still wet in the dryer, so I will have to pack when I get back from work. I was going to do my hair all cute this morning since we are meeting at the pumpkin patch with Em & Anna but did not have time. Could not find the shirt I wanted to wear, and did not have time to eat.
Now I am at work, we are short-handed, and I need to see if I can get out a little earlier because I have so much to do to get ready still. We are meeting at 3:30-4 at the pumpkin place (probably about 1.5 hrs from here) and I had originally told work I would be leaving at 2. Hopefully it isn't a big deal to leave at 1 instead - my boss is awesome so I am sure it will be ok. I just hate making them short another person. Oh well, it will have to do and I will have to push my conscience away, I am already getting out early so what is one more hour, right?
On the bright side - I get to see my family and my adorable niece (walking!) so really all of this is nothing and I feel better just having vented :)

Thank You, Thank You, Thank You!
Grandpa P - The cradle is adorable and so great that you and Gram were able to get a custom fit mattress!
Grandpa W - I am in awe of these small pianos as always! Especially since they actually work :) The dog was scared, but he will get used to it.
Our little one will get great use out of both of these wonderfully crafted items. We are so appreciative that he/she will get something from their Greats that will undoubtedly be passed along later on for their children as well!
Thank you again!

I have been tagged :) Not sure if I can think of 7 interesting things about myself, but here goes:
1. I have a mole in my eye (in the iris part). I have been told it is harmless, but like any mole to watch it as it can develop into melanoma, etc.
2. I have never broken any bones, but I have had stitches once... I sat on a knife while unloading the dishwasher when I was 11 or twelve. Not a fan of dishwashers, or fillet knives for that matter!
3. I can burp louder than most men I know - yep I bet you are jealous :)
4. I am obsessed with Celebrity gossip - it is my vice.
5. I have never once mowed the lawn in my 26 years.
6. I tend to say random things sometimes, only Josh has been able to trace my thoughts to figure out how they are related to whatever was going on/being talked about at the time. It's almost a game now :)
7. I bite my nails and lip... constantly...

New project for the weekend (and probably a few more weekends!) - called Evening Frost. The kit was given to me by Aunt Connie and Grandma Walsh and will soon be given to someone else :) I am thinking Christmas gift, but we will see.
*** UPDATE *** It's going easier than I thought - might be done sooner rather than later :)

The Bump's Chinese Gender Predictor apparently thinks we are having a boy, but it is so hard to say. The baby had a pretty high heartbeat, which can sometimes mean girl. And morning sickness is attributed to girls sometimes, also, but moreso when it is severe. Other online quizes put us at almost 50/50 for boy/girl :) I will be happy with either! Here's to the 2ND Trimester and finding out more about our precious little one :)
In other news, Josh has started coaching 2nd grade football with a friend. It is the most adorable thing ever - he comes home absolutely lit up from how happy he is. The kids are hilarious and cute and he has nothing but good things to say about the program. No more news I can think of, other than it is now officially Fall, the leaves are changing, and the air is definitely getting cooler!
